RMI, Avon, Conn., has released four new features for Advantage Mobile users. RMI says these new business routines deliver inventory efficiencies by recording movement of rental fleets and parts inventory as it happens. By managing rental returns, rental asset inquiries and inventory transfers on mobile devices, the company says Advantage users can provide customers with higher levels of service.
RMI says accurate inventory availability is crucial to every rental, sales and service organization and that Mobile Rental returns enable delivery people to check in a piece of equipment while out in the yard or even in transport. Mobile rental fleet inquiry and inventory transfers are designed to support equipment availability checks and location transfers to meet demand across an organization. The “Sign and Send” feature enables mobile tablet users to electronically accept a person’s signature on a document and then send that signed document to any email address, such as the rental store's office or to the customers’ corporate office. “The ability to electronically sign a delivery ticket along with the addition of new mobile business processes puts the RMI Advantage experience far ahead of the competition,” said David Richards, RMI’s vice president for client services. “Our devotion to the mobile initiative is apparent by the numerous enhancements we’ve made this year including compatibility with the Apple iPad®, the new mobile user interface, and Outlook sync with mobile devices.”
