Robert “Bob” White, Albany, Ga., 95, died Jan. 27. White founded Bob White Rents in 1957. The business is currently operated by his grandson, Steve Feagans. White was the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Region Three director for 1962. White, an Ohio native, came to Albany, Ga., as a navigator cadet assigned to Turner Field. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of both World War II and Korea. White retired in 1953 as a lieutenant colonel and started United Rentals, which he renamed Bob White Rents, in 1957. He is survived by his wife, Alice, a son, two daughters, a step-daughter, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and and five great-grandchildren.
