No topic went uncovered at the Events & Tents brainstorming session at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Saturday afternoon. Many came to ask questions and get ideas from others before the official kick-off of Events & Tents. Damage waivers, tent staking and weighting, fire codes and propane were among the subjects covered in the discussion.

The welcome session brought laughs and motivation, as attendees went on to sessions later in the afternoon. Tabletop design, lighting and tenting were just a few of areas covered, and those attending said they were ready to learn.

“I was excited to find out about new trends and colors, and what's new out there,” said Cristin Hopkins, Platinum Party Rents, San Diego. “We learned a lot last year at Events & Tents about what to do, and what not do, and hope to learn more this year.”

Saturday finished off with a networking reception at The Foundry, a renovated 19th century warehouse with eclectic decor. Attendees enjoyed the food of New Orleans while meeting new contacts and old friends.
