FTG Equipment Solutions, Carney’s Point, N.J., has been named the exclusive U.S. distributor for Rotair portable diesel air compressors, effective June 1. 2012. 

Since 1961, Rotair Spa has been a leading European manufacturer of air compressors, including diesel towable, electric stationary and gasoline portable models, as well as other related equipment.

Based in Caraglio, Italy, Rotair produces a wide range of diesel portables from 40 cfm through 900 cfm with new and larger models on the way. FTG will distribute the full range of Rotair portables, including several high-pressure models, and specialty air for the oil industry, marine agriculture and other unique applications. However, FTG’s main focus will be the U.S. construction and industrial markets, with a heavy emphasis on rental. FTG will sell only through established dealers, rental companies and selected national accounts.

FTG’s partners — Scott Wistar, chairman, and Ron Johnson, president — have nearly 70 combined years of experience in retail and wholesale distribution and rental of construction and industrial equipment.
