Last week a boomlift in Wyomissing, Pa., toppled. The photographs suggest that the outriggers were not extended. The two workers in the boom survived thanks to lanyards and the boom’s fall being cushioned somewhat by an unoccupied SUV. The men’s conditions were not known at press time.
