Komatsu Equipment Co., a Komatsu dealership based in Salt Lake City, will celebrate its 60th year in business in 2012 with customer and employee events throughout the year. Originally founded in 1952 as Rocky Mountain Machinery Co., the company merged with Pioneer Equipment Co. in 1997 to form what is now Komatsu Equipment Co.
Each of Komatsu Equipment’s six branch locations will celebrate the milestone with customer appreciation events will be held at the following branch locations:
- Salt Lake City – July 10, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- St. George – July 20, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Reno – Aug. 14, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Elko – Aug. 16, Noon – 3 p.m.
- Gillette – Aug. 29, 4 – 8 p.m.
- Las Vegas – Oct. date and time to be announced.
“It takes great customers and employees to stay in business for 60 years,” said John Pfisterer, president of Komatsu Equipment Co. “We have many employees that have been with us for 20, 30, even 40 years. We are very proud of our employee’s dedication to our customers which has kept us strong throughout the years.”
Komatsu Equipment has more than 275 employees in six locations throughout Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
Today, Komatsu Equipment services all makes and models of heavy equipment in the construction, utility and mining industries. Komatsu Equipment sells Komatsu, Sakai America, Geith, Henlsey, Indecco, Topcon Positioning, Werk-Brau and REICHdrill brands.
