“Load Handler,” a book about the development of the Gradall Loed material handler product line and the growth of the Gradall material handler business by James Grant, is now available at the Kindle Store, a service of amazon.com, for $4.99. The book chronicles the history of the companies and products that were the foundatin for the Loed handler, including the former Drott companies of Wisconsin. The Gradall divison of the Warner & Swasey Co. acquired the Loed handler product line in 1982 and introduced the machines as the Gradall Loed Materials Handler. JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., handled the product line from 2000 through 2009 before ceasing manufacture of the Gradall material handlers in January 2010.
